About Brenda
Serving as a volunteer member of the Frisco School Board since 2005 is one way Brenda’s public education has come full circle. She has leveraged the training she received as a student in Iowa, as well as more than 25 purpose-filled years as a working and volunteering adult.
Brenda values the democratic principle that equal – and excellent – education for every child underpins a healthy society. She believes preparing each student to become a productive and well-equipped adult should be the primary focus of the Frisco School Board.
Equally important, in Brenda’s view, is supporting a creative curriculum that goes beyond the basics. Music, art, theater, debate, CTE Center training, sports – all are critically important to nurture the next generation’s inquiring minds that will solve our world’s most challenging issues.
